Description: Long stems (over 5 feet) with no petiole and very short, cleft ligules. Flower placement is distinctive, with flowers borne on side shoots in multiple places on several (but not all) vegetative stalks. Flowers are spirally arranged and tightly spaced, but bracts do not form a cone shape. Instead, short reddish-pink bracts subtend each flower.
Distribution: Sepilok
Ecology/Habitat: Planted at the Sepilok Rainforest Discovery Center as an ornamental. Actual habitat unknown.
