Description: Leafy shoots are tall (over 6 feet) with short ligules, long petioles, and white hair on the leaf sheaths and margins. White, scorpion-shaped flowers are held terminally on the leaf stalk, as characteristic of the Globba genus. Long peduncles separate the flowers from the stem. Bracts are absent.


Distribution: Sepilok


Ecology/Habitat: Found planted at the Sepilok Rainforest Discovery Center, in dry soil in open light. Natural habitat unknown.
