Red-throated Skink

Locations : Niah.
Scalation : Dorsal scales with five, rarely seven, distinct keels; lower eyelids scaly; ear-opening reduced, edged with lobules; supranasals narrow and widely separated; frontonasal wider than long, contacting rostral and frontal; prefrontals separate; supraciliaries 5-6; supralabials nine; infralabials seven; midbody scale rows 24-28; lamellae under toe IV 18-26.
Habit : Diurnal ; semi-arboreal.
Habitat : Inhabits forests in the midhills and known to climb tree trunks up to about 2m.
Natural History : Diet comprises insects. Reproductive habits unknown.
