I’m Alexandra Torres and I am a Harvard student going into my third year of undergraduate study. I am from Los Angeles. My hometown is Rancho Palos Verdes, a small city on the Palos Verdes Peninsula in LA that lines the coast of southern California.

At Harvard I am concentrating in Organismic and Evolutionary Biology. I am very interested in going into grad school in Biology. I am also pre-med so medical school is still definitely within the realm of possible future endeavors. However, taking this course made me think a lot of the possibilities of grad school. Through this course I was able to get a good understanding of what it takes to be a grad student and everything I have experienced has been positive so far.

Here are the major projects that I was involved in during this course:

My Focal Taxon: Gill Fungi

Lambir Project: Water Striders

Gaya Project: Sea Cucumbers

Maliau Project: Stream Team
