Accessing the file server

• Windows:
  • Click on `My Computer’
  • In the address bar, type \192.168.1.100
  • Log in with Username: share and password: (see whiteboard). You may be asked either before or after selecting a shared volume.
• Mac:
  • Go to Finder (just click on Desktop)
  • Menu -> Go -> Connect to Server...
  • Enter: smb://192.168.1.100/
  • (Click `OK’ when a question box comes up)
  • Log in with username: share and password: (see whiteboard).
• For resource files (read only), select bb09files
• For your sharing site, select bb09share
• For staff, who can write to the server, use the resource bb09filesw, after having logged in with username: files and password given to you.
